A relatively dense black beer by the high temperature mashing. The bitterness of the large quantities of hops is offset by the imposing presence of the roasted barley in addition to the addition of oats. The balance is perfect while having different tastes rich.

A quality sweet stout no doubt...Roasted malts a bit too much i would think but nevertheless well balance with a strong hop presence...Easy to drink and at 5%abv you can have more than one bottle and enjoy!!!

Bought at the Dépanneur de la Rive in Cap-Rouge, Quebec. Caution: Watch out for the crazy head ! It is insanely huge. Easy to overflow, but luckily, this one is safe in my English pint glass. Very good, very long lasting brown creamy head. The nose is of roasted malts with mild chocolat malts in the back. Medium-bodied and dry mouthfeel. Sourness is found in the taste, with some light roasted malt and hints of smoke in the aftertaste. Does not really feel like a sweet stout, but more like a dry stout. Still, quite drinkable, but nothing exceptional.

Pours a dark black with a bubbly tan head, good retention with some web lacing. Aroma isn't very strong, but what I noticed mostly was oatmeal and hopps. Mouthfeal is slightly carbonated. Flavors is a little odd, mostly hoppy with some mocha, with the mid and finish being bitter. It's OK, won't go out of my way for it.
