Clear small white foam. Normal not too strong aroma, regular taste. Decent aftertaste. Not sure about this Kölsch thing, still cannot distinct the difference with regular pilsener. (Velp 201501)

500 ml bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the 0.2 l original Mühlen Kölsch Stange a brillant pale gold or golden orange colored Kölsch with a one finger white creamy foamy head that had a good retention. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is sweet grainy malts, hay. The flavour is grainy malts, a pleasant bitterness, hints of spice, peppery. The mouthfeel is creamy, fizzy and sparkling. This light bodied ale has a dry malty finish. This Kölsch is one about my three favourites in Köln.

Bottle, as Mühlen Kölsch, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, thanks to Gunnar. Golden colour, low head. Boring grainy and dusty aroma. Fizzy mouthfeel. Fairly dry pilsener-like flavour with a noticeable hoppy bitterness.

Bottled. Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma of peas, paper and malts. Flavour is malty, quite sweet along with hoppiness in finish. Very dry palate. Quite a fruitish peak while you drink it.

Another fine stop in Cologne, this was second only to Pfaffen's Kolsch, featuring some of the same aspects in the flavor (oak, good malt presence) and even some light fruitiness. Color was pale golden with a nice initial head that yielded good lacing and had good retention. Aroma featured some lighty musty notes along with the wood. Mouthfeel was only lightly carbonated, as again this didn't have any gas added.
