Warning: The following description was written by a very 'enthusiastic' SF Giants Fan...To honor our World Champions at the Cove, we have created a smooth, American black ale brewed with orange zest. A hearty brew for the bleacher bums, gardeners of turf, and patient fans who have endured 54 years of pine-grabbing torture. An adult beverage to salute the bat, the Stick, the rally thong., the crab, the seal, the chickens, the Thrill, the bowties in the office, the golden voices in the booth, and all of the San Francisco legends that helped them get there. We at Moylan’s never stopped believing and we plan to bust this rookie out on opening day for the Ortange and black faithful. WARNING: Do not fear this beer for it will freakishly offer two Cy’s of relief without putting any hair on your face. ARE YOU READY? WELL THEN GRAB A BEER, MEAT!

Somebody at the bar stool next to me at Moylan's told me I had to get this one. It was ok but it wasn't one I would get again. Poured a dark brownish black, not much froth. Nose is sweet, spicey, deifnitely lots of orange. Taste is similar. Like a dreamsicle covered in toffee.

i don't know if this belongs in the fruit beer catergory, or the american black ale catergory as it is both (calls itself an ABA). the orange zest is not subtle in the aroma, and makes for on odd but intuiging smell when mixed with some porter-like roasted malts and chocolate. pretty low hop presence (or is it just overshadowed?) in both the aroma and flavor. thin-medium bodied. unique and pretty tasty...maybe leaning towards a desert beer.

Sampled on 4/16/2011. This fruit beer pours a nearly eclipse black color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized beige foamy head. with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is orange, roasted malts and orange. Medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are slightly roasty, caramel and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Lots and lots of semi-sweet orange flavor. Kind of sweet. Nice carbonation. Wish it was a little more roasty and a little less orange. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some lingering orange flavors.
