Had this on tap at Moylan's in Novato. A nice big, west coast IPA. Exactly what I was looking for at the time. Bright orange, illuminates in my glass. Big frothy top. Incredibly floral nose. Fresh dank hops.

From Central City. Poured a clear, orange-hued body under a rocky white head. Aroma was hopped and super piney. Flavour was just the same, too. Decent mouthfeel and a balanced finish. Almost as good as Red Racer. A good beer from a brewery I like.

Strong aroma is richly hoppy with a firm grapefruit undertone, what I expect from a good IPA, with just a whisper of honey sweetness. It pours a pretty clear coppery amber with a thick, fluffy, white head that hangs around for just a bit. Flavor is quite hoppy and a little bitter, with an undertone of sour citrus - mainly grapefruit - and a hint of honey sweetness that balances the bitterness nicely. Smooth texture is fairly fizzy and leaves a nice hoppy finish that has bitter, sour and sweet tones.

This poured a cloudy yellow color with a white head. The aroma contains mostly lemons with some pine showing through. The flavor is slightly bitter with more lemons and pine. The aftertaste is somewhat bitter. Overall this a very one dimensional IPA but still pulls off being a pretty good beer.

Sampled on 1/22/2010. This India Pale Ale pours a medium copper orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity, grapefruity and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy, perhaps a little herbal. Nice carbonation. It is most definitely a Northern California IPA. Lots of hop flavors and a lot of long lasting hop bitterness. Good carbonation. Nice IPA. Lots of bitterness and nice hops flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter and it last a good long time.

Very nice aromas of citrus, pine and a hint of bubble gum, body was a nice robust orange with a decent creamy cap. Flavors and bite of grapefruit with a little sticky pine as well, the finish was bitter and long. Overall a rather nice IPA that I would drink again.

This was a good solid IPA, a fairly recent addition to the Moylans line, and I hope it sticks around a while. It poured a deep orange colour with a creamy tan coloured head. The aroma was a typical IPA with pine scents, chewy malt, and citrusy hops. The flavour comes through as being complex with a nice balance between the grainy malt flavours and the citrus of the hops.

a fairly basic but well made IPA. aromatic and piney, with a hint of citrus and a strong malt foundation...would be a good ipa to introduce someone to the style.
