You’re in for a helluva burly bite with this one. Mother’s India Pale Ale is aggressively hopped in both the wort kettle and aging vessel for a sharp, clean bitterness and fragrant citrus hop flavors. We've instilled a mellow malt character as the backbone to balance the elevated alcohol and hop levels IPA lovers crave. Whether you’re an IPA loyalist or just sampling, you’ve found yourself a great beer. So spend some quality time with Mother’s Lil’ Helper. BREWMASTER'S ORIGINAL NOTES* Darker & bigger than most India Pale Ales. Higher on the alcohol & hops, emphasizing aromatics. 70 IBUs and 7% ABV—lucky 7s. Dryhops? Yes. Late kettle, whirl hops? Yes. Oatmeal? Chocolate malt? Caramel 90? Golden promise? Maybe. Dark-copper to light-amber color. Citra, cascade, centennial, chinook, summit, & simcoe hops. Piney, citrus hop aroma. High cohumulone level hops for nice, sharp penetrating bitterness. * Recipe evolved from these original notes

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy light golden amber with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is biscuity malts and sugary candied tropical fruits and a little resiny hops.
The flavor is sweet vegetal biscuity malts and some ripe tropical fruit with a resiny grassy hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, an OK IPA. I don't really care for the mix of flavors. -

Bottle courtesy of PfoxyJohn by way of dansting. Light golden amber/gold color, tight white head, nice lacing. Nice light grapefruit, citrus and pine aromas and flavors, nicely malted, decent bitter linger. Very easy to drink with ample bitterness - could drink these all day. Thanks Dan and John.

Decent IPA from midwest, not nearly enough of those. Nice color, good aroma, though by no means west coast, great taste and good bitterness. A nice beer all around.
