Parched motorists on Route 66 anticipated hospitality at Tower Station, opened in 1936. This unfiltered Indian Pale Ale greets you with a copper-orange hue and fluffy white head, releasing aromas of tangerine and pineapple. Pilsner and Pale malts balance hop-derived flavors of grapefruit peel and pine to finish the journey.

Pours clear topaz with a thick and frothy ivory head. Aroma provides crisp raw malt, resiny hops, pomme and tropical undertones. Flavor yields well-rounded fresh malt, resiny hops, citrus plus tropical plus subtle pear tones. Texture provides decent body and peppy fizz. Maybe not a towering IPA, but an enjoyable and refreshing one.

At Cowboy Ciao (PHX Sky Harbor). Cloudy orange pour, average white head, but not much carbonation. Nice aroma of tropical fruits and resins. Slick mouthfeel. Good flavour, with the tropical fruits and resins, plus some grapefruit. Certainly bitter enough. Nice effort.
