Leicht malziger Röstgeschmack und eine feine Karamell-Note geben diesem Altbier seinen abgerundeten Charakter. Vom Braumeister verkostet : Optik : Mahagonifarben mit stabilem, leicht ockerfarbenen Schaum ; Geruch : Intensive Nase mit leichten Karamell- und Malznoten, eine Spur Kandis, dahinter dichte Röstaromen ( getoastetes Brot, fast kakaoartig ) sowie getrocknete Früchte ( Dörrpflaumen ) und Bitterorangen ; Gescmack : Angenehm mit feiner Herbe und rundem Charakter. Aromen am Gaumen in eine dezent malzige Richtung. Etwas Karamell und Röstaromen am Gaumen ; Rezenz : Feine Kohlensäure.

Bottled. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is wood, hops, hay and some mild caramel malts in it too. Flavour is wooden, fruity, malty and big hoppyness creeping up through the other flavours. Quite hayish and sweet in the finish.
