Big flavors do not have to be synonymous with one-and-done beers. We love dessert just as much as we love dark beer and we think that enjoying more than one of each should never be a problem. In this medium bodied Baltic Porter we use a combination of specialty malts to capture rich flavors like caramel, chocolate and vanilla alongside a lager yeast that brings a clean finish. This Baltic Porter pairs well with dishes such as chocolate mole or caramel flan.

Pours opaque sepia with a thick and persistent frothy beige head. Aroma presents roast malt, waxy, chocolate and subtle spicy tones. Flavor delivers zesty roast malt, chocolate, a bit of vanilla, a hint of spice, a hint of woody hops. Mouthfeel features fair body and strong, jazzy fizz. Get your Mexican on!

Dark brown/mahogany pour with a small tan head that settles into a ring on top of the beer. Aromas of caramel, vanilla, chocolate and roasted malt. The vanilla and caramel flavors lead the taste. The chocolate and roasted malt take a back seat, but help balance the overall taste. A bit thin, which is the only weakness of this beer. Despite all of the "sweet flavors", the beer is not very sweet and has a super clean finish on the palate. A random purchase from a Chicago brewer who usually specializes in farmhouse ales and sours. A pleasant surprise.
