Aroma is very sweet and astringent and almost phenolic and smells like brown sugar and caramel with hints of spice. Appearance is a burgundy to red in color with a thin head on top that is light-tan in color and leaves lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with not much in the way of any complexity or balance, just sweetness, and has a palate that is creamy. Flavor is way too sweet and full of astringent sugars and malt with an aftertaste that is creamy but seems infected and a finish that is chalky. Overall, way too sweet and way too astringent and is very muddledand all over the place.
