This oatmeal oyster stout pours a dark brown colour with little brown highlights. Carbonation seems quite lively delivering a big frothy mocha-coloured head that stays a while leaving some foamy lacing. Chocolate aromas with some coffee and molasses notes. Hints of salty water and soya sauce. The taste shows more the roasted malts with a little hops. These herbal notes seem to get stronger, creating a decent bitterness and dryness in the finish. Hints of molasses in the background. A pretty nice stout overall, but just lacking the oyster saltiness and oatmeal smoothness.
