Molson golden, if you never had it before it’s probably conjuring up images of beautiful golden beer in a big clear stein with dew running down the side. Oh the anticipation. Previously I didn’t think much about the different kinds of Molson, just that they were Molson. Green bottle with a twist off cap. Pop the lid and it is hints of skunk vegetable in the festidness. Aroma remains contending; Date code on the bottle is 1786, aged well. modern yeast smell coming thru in the pour. Typical pale yellow american beer color. Had a white head that faded rapidly. Now I see medium size bubbles randomly rising in there but it is nothing near lacing. First tongue nip is medium hops, but not truly bitter. Seems to have a higher alky percent from the taste. Every time you taste or sip a little wave of bubble rise to the top, has nice carbonation feel in the mouth. A very courteous flavor that is not in your face but has some personality that makes this it’s own beer. None of the skunkness seem to be passed on to the taste buds. Finish does have some attenuated roof of mouth bitterness that hangs on for a few moments after the last sip. Enjoyable and repeatable but I think Canadian may be in-advance, better. Good carbonation down to the last sip.

Clear yellow with small white foam head. Smells like pilsener, tastes like pilsener, nothing more. Had anticipated a better beer when its colled Golden. (Houston 201205)

pours a yellow to light amber with a small white thin head that quickly disapates leaving no lace. The aroma is a little skunky but not too bad with a few mellow spices. The taste is malt and some mild bready notes, not much here. The mouthfeel is sparkling and refreshing, smooth and pleasant but also thin and watery.

This was my old reliable in the 80s. Consumed way to much then in a short time. Trying again. Seems more watery than I remember. Thin. Still has the hoppy, malt flavor with a touch of citrus. Overall still likable.

Another one of my go to beers in the 80s as this was one of the brands that Molson was really pushing. I see it more often in America than Canada, and I have to try it because it makes me feel like I'm home

One doesn't see this beer in Canada all that often - but when it's available, one needs to try it. Colour - pale gold, clear, white head. Aroma - grainy malt, some hops. Mouthfeel - watery. Flavour - grainy malt, hops. Overall - weaker than average

Aroma was a little skunky, but not bad. Golden yellow body, not much head or lace. Mouthfeel has a slight carbonation bite. Flavor of malt and some bread. Overall it o.k. for what it is.

This is a sub-average beer, but not too bad.....drinkable. More of a daytime, lawnmower beer. I prefer it to the American lagers, but still would rather have Molson Ice, or their Export Ale....or better yet, Labatts Blue!

can be a decent, crisp beer when it's not skunky, but unfortunately that it not very often. not enough good to overcome this. not at all recommended.
