Brewed with pale barley and wheat malts and flavoured with varieties of American and German hops famed for their floral “white wine”, tropical and stone fruit flavours. Using English ale yeast and left unfiltered for added fruitiness, this beer has a partially soured mash and is aged in contact with French oak. The most noticeable feature of this beer is of course its intense hoppiness, which balance the round fruitiness of the hops and yeast. We make a few different IPA’s at Mill Street, but this is our flagship. Brewed on the west coast of Lake Ontario.

The beer pours a hazy creamy yellow colour with a huge generous off-white rocky head which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is pineapple, mango, and orange with some grassy notes thrown in to make it beery. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is dominated by the pineapple flavours with hints of other citrus fruits such as orange and passion fruit in the mix. A very flavourful beer, but more of what I associate with Australian and New Zealand hops and not what I associate with the American west coast (I love grapefruity west coast IPAs) -

Cloudy, looks like a mix of orange and pineapple juice. Big creamy head, staying a long time and loads of great lacing. Both fruits are also found in the smell with some grass and honey. The taste has lots of citrus with the grapefruit and orange zest. Some creaminess to the mouthfeel. Good bitterness overall. Quite a nice IPA.

Pours a nice large frothy off-white head and has a super cloudy yellowish, orangey appearance. Lacing is pretty decent. Quite strong tropical fruit aromas are immediately noticeable, oranges, mangos, some lemon hints. Flavours are quite similar, lots of citrusy, fruity notes as well as piney and floral hop notes. Good retention and carbonation. Smooth and slightly tarty mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Pours a very cloudy yellow colour. A finger of head doesn't last too long but a thin cap remains throughout. Leaves blotches of lacing. Aroma has grapefruit, pine and a little grainy malt. Flavour is hop forward but you wouldn't think it was 87 ibu's. A little malt sweetness helps the balance. Taste is fruity, grapefruit, orange, pineapple, pine, a touch of sourness from the yeast and a floral finish. Medium mouthfeel with sharp carbonation. This is a good beer from what I think is a mediocre brewery.
