Sampled on 5/5/2012. This “Belgian Ale” pours a slightly cloudy orange gold color from a 330ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is malty, caramel, fruity, hoppy and touch tart and a little dry. A medium bodied ‘ale’. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet a touch tart and a little funky. The hops are herbal and earthy, still kind of hoppy, yet it’s definitely drier and funkier. An interesting combination of hops and tartness. Mixes well with the fruitiness. This one is probably the best example of yeast in the series. It was very evident how the yeast make this beer drier and funkier than the others. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

the nicest of the yeast series line, easily. aroma is a little more vinegar/sour than the flavor, but both are nice. lots of typical barnyard funk and someone this one (still at 8%) feels lighter than the rest. highly sessionable, and quite tasty.

I REALLY liked this beer. It smelled funky - of horse blanket, stable, and earth. The beer had slight lacing but was not tacky in the mouth. The flavor was tart, earthy, and of radish. The main notes were of brett and citrus zest. The appearance was a nice reddish hue - the beer had nice head retention and appeared unfiltered. I enjoyed this beer a lot and would have it again. I think I like Nøgne Ø Tyttebær a tad better though

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours out in a deep hazy amber colour with a rich fluffy white head. Fresh aroma of lemon-zest, wood, brett and orange-blossom. Medium to full-bodied with notes of caramel, wood, brett, orange-peels and nectarines. Medium-bitter finish of orange-peels and grapefruit with hints of brett and lemon-rind.

Draught@Mikkeller Bar. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is wood, sourness, tart fruits, yeast and a bit lactic acid. Flavour is quite much the same in a dry, but balanced way. Nice and tart.
