I tried this beer on September 4, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured an orange-brown colour with a generous tan coloured head that laced very well down the glass. The aroma was pine and floral in nature indicating ample hoppiness. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was definitely hoppy with grapefruit and citrus tones in abundance. If it wasn't for price, I would certainly try this beer again.

Dam smells like heaven. Hazy bronzey brown with a long lived thick cap. Heavy but in control hop bomb, sweet honey, floral, sticky caramel, lychee, this aroma is good. Just hit some fresh squeezed apple juice in the nose. Taste is perfect the balance is awesome. Drinks fast and easy. Hit peach, bubble gum, caramel, a hidden harshness that never really shows up. Why can't Mikkeller be more affordable, I'd drink the shit out of this beer. Pine? Just realized after beer was almost done its not that bitter but is still bitter.

courtesy ichorm! bigups! Poured into chalice, good head, good retention. didnt start this beer until it was half finished. Good lcaing shows every other sip and the head still sits intact with a diversity of bubble sizes. In the glass first impression is something a bit earthy, some grapefruit, peach. It looks a nice crimson. Other than grapefruit theres not much in the way of citrus. Its more stone fruit than that. Really quite good. Still woody and a bit barnyard.

wow - 97th percentile! i'm a little surprised. i think this ones a pretty average ipa overall. the body and color are nice, and i get what it's going for...big sweet malt and big aromatic citrus and pine hops...but there is a slight vegetal component to the aroma and flavor that's just not jivin with me, so it turns out ok, when otherwise it coulda been quite good. not worth the coin when better ipas are available for much cheaper.

Nice nice nice. Chewy yet sweet. Subtle yet chewy. I like it. I like it a lot. Sweet wet and dry all at the same time. Malt, pine, citrus are obvious on the palate. I like it, I like it alot.

Damn, just cracking off the cap made me drool. Dumped out beer into Budweiser chalice. Slight hazy orangy amber something, acceptable white cap with tons of lacing. Jesus, this beer is going fast! Stiff and eye opening aroma that demands my attention. Huge citrus - candy peach, ruby red grapefruit, lychee - all very sweet but no hint of that being a distracting thing. Good chunk of caramel malts and toasted multigrain bread, weak pine. Maybe even melon. Man, I love IPA's! Damn fine amount of flavors but something holds this back from rising to the top of the stack. The thick malts hit the 'buds first followed very quickly by grapefruit, pine, more caramel, peachishy something (peachishy is a word, look it up), floral hops (is that a taste??). Each sip is a blast of flavor. On the thick side, leaves a minor coating in my mouth but a permanent piney bitter lingering. Perfectly carbonated, great swish and a shit load of hops. The malts were really good in this one keeping it fairly balanced. Aspects of this remind me of a couple of barley wines from the states. Finishes with the bitterness turning into grapefruit rind. Bottoms up! Homo. -

This is an excellent take on one of my favourite American styles. The floral hoppiness is the pervasive feature of this golden-brown brew. The flavour has a nice malty back-bone that is well balanced by the hops, but fails in comparison to the aroma.

This IPA pours a copper gold color from a 50cl bottle. Medium sized white foamy head, with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is floral, grapefruity and a touch of caramel malts. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and floral. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Crisp and clean. A nice IPA without being over the top or a huge flavored IPA. This would be a nice everyday drinking IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle from Julio’s Liqour in Mass. Pours with an orange-amber body topped by a thin to medium thick, quickly disappearing head with some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with lots of grapefruity and piney hop notes as well as a peachy fruity note. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly warming down deep.

Another curious brew. The Danes making an American style IPA? Had to try it. Pours a copper/amber color with a two finger head. Hops and malt prevalent in the nose. Tasty piney hops, citrus and malty finish. Great balance and surprising smooth. They have done their brewing homework. I forgot what I paid for this, but I do remember it was quite pricey. And unless there are some more stimulus checks on the way, it will be while until I try this one again.
