Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
Strong aroma is more fruity than hoppy, mainly sour orange with a subtle grapefruit note, and a hoppy tone that is more woody then evergreen. It pours a dark, bubbly, reddish amber bordering on mahogany with a thick, fluffy, palest golden-tan head. Flavor is fairly hoppy, though not as much as many other IPAs I have tried. It has firm fruity notes, sour orange and a little apple and grapefruit, as well as a bit of malt. Hop component is largely woody and not at all bitter - it is fairly sweet as far as IPAs go. Firm texture has a good amount of fizz. Not great, but still enjoyable.

Sampled on 9/24/2011. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 33cl bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is slightly citrusy, floral and somewhat herbal. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal, floral and a touch citrusy. Decent carbonation. Nicely balanced. Medium bitterness. Bravo is a nice bittering hop, but not much else. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

330 ml, from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. ABV is 6.8%, theoretical IBU 103. Deep golden to amber colour, slightly hazy. Huge off-white head. Lovely aroma of Bravo hops, strong fruity notes, hints of pine. The flavour has a distinct hoppy bitterness, but also fruity and piney notes come through. I still think we would get a better overall impression of this fairly new hop variety, if the IBUs were kept a little lower in this beer. The long aftertaste is quite bitter and sharp. My interest is sufficiently triggered to try Bravo hops in homebrew.

Draught@CPH BF 2011. Amber colour, small beige head, that leaves good lace. Aroma is grass, fruits, earth, caramel and some mild herbal notes. Flavour is grass, fruity and floral hops with some slight maltyness as well.
