Hmmm. If this is Hop Burn Lo, I wonder what Hi is... My 100th unique brew from my favorite gypsies. This imperial india lager has a crisp bready aroma, with some grapefruit and pine as well. feel is nice and covers up the 10% fairly well. Resiny sweetness in the flavor, with ample bitterness. Nicely done.

Golden amber with a tall fluffy cap slowly melting down into the beer. Citrusy leafy hops with an apple finish in the nose, pretty simple aroma. When warmer the aroma morphed into a strange honey funk with a sock backbone (not in a bad way). Taste is the same but has more of a honey, no trace of the 10%, a floral quality, and more stuff. Wow just got a big kind of unpleasant mouthful of booze in the second last sip....where did that come from??? A high quality drinkable brew that disappointed, still glad I tried it.

I had this at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen, DK. This beer was a surprise - surprising to find it was an imperial PILSNER and not an imperial IPA. This beer is well hopped and smells like pine. It was very good. I would have it again. Great beer, pleasant surprise!
