A deep mahogany colored beer with a three fingered frothy textured light tan colored beer. There's great hang time on the head. It settles into a thick low lying film and ringlet. I get malt and a funkiness in the nose. Bready malt backbone with a lot of flora and some piney hops hopping out. Light medium bodied.

Mikkeller in a can. Kind of exciting. They say American IPA, but this has overseas all over it (even though it was brewed in PA). Darker than anything with "pale" in the name should be. Almost ruby red. Big sweet bready biscuity malts, a big body for the style, and a decent dose of tropical hops. Light pine in there too, but definitely heavier, darker and sweeter than is typical for the style. Nice change of pace, even though I prefer my west coast IPAs.
