This special edition Winter Ale is a smooth, full-bodied Oatmeal Stout. A rich blend of roasted barley and chocolate malts imparts wonderful coffee and chocolate flavors and aromas. The soft creaminess of this ale comes from the generous amounts of Warrior and East Kent Golding hops.

It's a cold spring day here in Wisconsin; perfect time to open up this Winter Stout courtesy of bluesandbarbq. Pours an opaque black body with a moderate-sized brown head. Molasses, fig and coffee nose. Very smooth and creamy palate; soft and full. Rich, well-blended flavors of roasted malt and chocolate with bitter coffee, tangy dark fruit and strong molasses flavors in the finish. MUSIC: Winter by The Dodos, from Visiter

Pours pitch black with a thin tan head that lingers with little lacing. Rich aroma of coffee and dark chocolates with a sweet barley base. Some carbonation. Taste just as the aroma - rich dark chocolates and coffee with a malt and slight oats middle and a straight coffee and slightly bitter dark chocolate finish. Rich and good.
