Pours black with a tan head. The aroma is richly roasty with a healthy dose of chocolate and anise. It’s actually very similar to my homebrewed imperial stout in flavor except not as hoppy and it has less body. Excellent stout, although I’m not getting the dryness mentioned in some other reviews.

This beer was solid black with a large tan head. The aroma was charcoal and coffee. A rather light palate on this one but it had a good assortment of flavors. A very smokey and bitter coffee flavor. Well balanced not being overly bitter or sweet. Overall it was a pretty good beer.

Poured an opaque black color with a small tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Chocolate, roasted coffee beans and smoke are very much prevalent in both the aroma and the taste.
