Black Rabbit Porter is a semi-sweet ale with a roasty chocolate malt tone. This ale is defined by it's toasted nut flavor and a sweeter, softer finish than McMenamins' Terminator Stout. Named after the elusive Black Rabbit who roamed freely on the grounds at the Edgefield Manor, this ale has been an Edgefield staple for years. Malts: Pale Malt; 40L Crystal Malt; Chocolate Malt; Brown Malt Hops: Cascade; Tettnanger; Hallertauer

a rather weak brown ale aroma...otherwise a pretty solid porter accross the board. nice and smooth, nutty/chocolate/roasted malt flavor, decent finish. if only the aroma were up to par... 2nd time, aroma better, body weaker.

Dark ruby black color. Small Head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. A light bodied porter. Malts are roasted with hints of chocolate and coffee. Hops are slightly spicy. Nice flavor, but a little light for a porter. Very smooth.
