Re-rate, 11/08 - On draft at the Glen Mills location. Poured a pretty standard copper color, normal head. The aroma was typical, pumpkin and spice. The flavor was tons of spices, overly done, and the base beer was only ok, weak, somewhat watery pumpkin. Mouthfeel was carbonated a bit too high, finishing with some spice zing. Not that great. Original Rating: Draft at the Glen Mills location. Pour looked like your usual amber ale, clear amber color, nice initial head, good retention, and a nearly continous lace all the way down, almost as if it was forced served by nitrogen. The aroma was lots of spice: cinnamon, nutmeg, and whatever allspice is. The flavor was light pumpkin with the spicing on top. A little too spicey, although once I started the pumpkin bisque soup, it took the edge off this sucker. Mouthfeel was a bit zingy, decent amount of carbonation, decent body for only 4.5pct.

Poured a clear amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma was rather non-descript, malty, faint hint of cinnamon and all spice, and no pumpkin at all. Taste was malty as well, with faint spices. I was hoping for more pumpkin, or really more of anything in this beer. Give me more Raven!
