Dark pour, nice head and really good lacing. Funky aroma...lagerish and a bit unpleasant. Lots of chocolate flavor, obviously...was described by the bartender as a chocolate lager. Some sourlike lactic flavor, which I hate. Okay.

Color is a deep sable brown, head is tan and fairly persistent. Aroma is smoky with a hint of coffee, and has an odd waxy or dusty overtone to it. Flavor is decent, mainly burnt coffee but again with a waxy hint to it - not unpleasant, but strange. It has a good hoppy bite and a smooth, pleasant texture.

Black with ruby highlights but with a quick-fading head. The aroma is burned brownies and smoke (but not overwhelming smoke. This flavor isn't really huge but for a schwarzbier it's really good. A little thin on the mouthfeel, but not so much for a lager.

hmm, well its pretty much black looking, maybe some creamy roasted chocolate things goin on in the aroma, really creamy and weird tasting, kinda bland fake chocolate feel to it. Not too impressive.

More like a dark amber in color than light black. That’s the nicest thing I can say about this stuff. Well, the pour was a bit creamy. This is a beer with an identity crisis. Light hop aroma. The taste is sweet with a burnt caramel thing going on. Slightly astringent and dry. Tastes a bit like plastic.
