A fresh, handcrafted Double IPA featuring copious amounts of hops. Laden with hops from beginning to end and not overly bitter, its hop aromas and flavors give hints of guava, passion fruit, and orange spice which blend well with the silky malt flavors. "Big Braddah to the Big Swell IPA".

Meddelsome Moth - Dallas Texas. A tad more Hops and I would have rated 8-9's for a double IPA. Glad I had the opportunity to try this beer. The high Abv was covered up nicley by the flavor.

Tasted at the February Northern California Beer Tasting. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 16oz(?) can. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, tropical even and piney hops. Medium bodied Double India Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are piney and a touch citrusy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. I like it, a DIPA in a can. Hides the 8,5% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

NorCal Feb '08 - One of the more rare beer styles found in a can. Suprising too because you'd think that maybe a can might preserve it's contents a bit better than a glass bottle. Either way, this beer was decent. The beer is copper in color with a nice two finger thick white head. Aroma was very tropical-like, that shifted gears from time to time with a piney hop attack. Malts were sweet, peppery with an unerlying nail polish like aroma ot the whole beer. Flavor was sweet, with a nice citrus hop character to it. No way I'd consider this a double IPA. IPA at best and it'd be a nice one. But a DIPA? Uh-uh.
