This was a beer I received from the Michael Jackson BOM club and it's hard to believe how poor it was. Metallic notes all over the place, sour flavors that were likely due to contamination, very light body with little to no finish (thank God). I'm not sure how my sub-rankings are all below my overall ranking for this beer, but it was probably due to the fact I graded the last one and didn't remember the first bottles to be as repulsive.

Light gold color, small head, malty aroma with a hint of lemon. There is a lemony initial taste which fades to a lightly malty and hoppy. Carbonation is tingley on the tongue. Interesting beer, light flavor but tasty and refreshing. Mouthfeel is bubbly. Finish is dry and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Even for this Belgian Strong Ale and dark beer kind of guy, I like this lager. Big cookie like nose, the malts quite pronouced, with some hop under tones noticed, maybe a bit flowery, the color gold, the head white, and generous lace. Smooth and mildly carbonated, fair hop presence at the finish, quite unique. A very refreshing beer, a first for me from the second home of great beers, Belgium being my first choice.
