The taste of EPA is unique. Zing from the citrusy hops we use. Pow from its fuller flavour. Phwoar from the crisp finish that leaves you ready for more. It’s a refreshing, lighter blonde ale with a 3.6 ABV. Pale ales were the height of fashion in the Victorian era, they were seen in watering holes the length and breadth of the country and were liked by everyone. Unlike earlier darker beers, the delicious, clear and golden style of English Pale Ale is what people went mad for... Nowadays there’s at least one generic continental fizzy lager on every bar and fridges are stocked with flavoured sugary alcopops... So we have gone back to our roots and re-crafted the original English Pale Ale that we once couldn’t get enough of. It’s a pint of cold, hoppy, zesty goodness which will knock the socks of the fizzy generic stuff you’re used to drinking. Don't take our word for it, go and try one, you'll see.

Pours a big foamy bubbly head that goes away fairly quick and has a pale golden appearance. Pretty good lace. Aromas of light/crisp grassy and floral hops, a bit grainy. Flavours are mostly grainy malts, faint floral hops, and a tiny bit of honey in the finish. Lively carbonation. Average retention. Not bad for a low abv pale. Goes down quite easy.

Part of the Marston's PLC 6 pack. The beer pours a medium gold colour with a generous white head which shrinks to a long lasting film. The aroma is very grassy, with floral hops, honey, and weak peppery notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grass, honey, and spices with a lactic tang. Very flavourful for 3.6%. -

Part of the Classic Ales 6-pack at the LCBO for Christmas 2014. Pours a very slight hazy golden colour with a frothy-creamy white cap, good retention and some wavy cream lace. Mild hop aromas at first (grass hints), but eventually the grain comes out with honey notes. Pretty much the same for taste. Quite refreshing and very good for such a mild ale.
