On tap @ The Quarry - Marble City's taproom. First release of this bourbon barrel aged stout. Dark brown-near black pour, tight tan head, big lacing. Roasted malt aroma, slightly woodsy and oaken, very little bourbon after only 10 days aging, earthy. Mellowed flavor: again, earthy woodsy, just a hint of bourbon but a decent offering of vanilla, very earthy hops. Good, but will be better after aging longer in the Angels Envy Bourbon barrels - can't wait to try that!
