Very dark and rich with a moderate head very chewy mouth feel. The aroma was malty with hints of nuts and a touch of bitterness. This would be a great beer to enjoy on a cool eve. with a book by the fire.

This is a very dark and thick brew. I first tried it in England in a pub along Southampton Row in London and then again in the states this past week. It has a malty flavor and very little of the bitter aftertaste that often accompanies a dark brew like this. I didn't care for it the first time around, but liked it much better upon the latest try.

(275 ml bottle.) Very dark/black, good tan head. Aroma is malts and coffee, flavour is sweet and malty with coffee and chocolate notes, hardly any bitterness. This beer proves that a low ABV beer can be flavourful, but it's just too sweet to be a favourite of mine.

Canned. Black, with moderate sized brown head. Aroma is coffee, with a sweet malty flavour. Thin bodied. Weak but interesting.
