Sampled on draft at the Lucky Lab, Portland 05/06. Clear copper/brown with a light tan head. Rich malt aroma with dark fruit notes. Ashy, dry and balanced toward bitter. Medium-full body. Typical brown.

Pours true borwn with good clarity and small, dense head. Incredibly rich malt aroma with light caramel topnotes. The flavor is balanced overall with sweet malts nicely balanced by bitterness. There was an off-flavor akin to dirt, but, thankfully, it was not overwhelming. Light-to-medium bodied and amply carbonated.

Medium brown color. Small head. Aroma is nutty and fruity. A medium bodied brown ale. Malts are nutty and fruity. Hops are slightly spicy. Nicely balanced, but a touch hoppy for a brown ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
