With about 6.0% ABV, this one will surely warm the ol' gullet during a cold central Texas winter - both days! Our India Pale Ale (IPA) is light in color and strong in hop character. Dry hopping with Cascade hops gives this winter favorite a delicious citrus note reminiscent of a Texas Ruby Red. Yes, it's warming but you don't need to be huddled around the furnace to enjoy this one! IPA fans really love this ale during a beautiful Texas winter on the porch or indoors.

Aroma was rather nice, unusual in a good way, it had a sweet floral nose. The body was a hazy orange with a mid thick cap that left some thick lace. Flavor of pine upfront with a nice bready malt base, semi bitter finish. Overall a nice ipa not overbearing, or underwhelming in any way.

A nice IPA here, simple and straightforward, kind of like O'Fallon's 5 Day IPA. Some IPAs strive for complexity by leaning on a fruity yeast strain to tie the malt and hops together, but not this class, they are clean, mean and forthright. Hops...check, malt...check. Citrusy, grassy and mild pine aroma, how AIPA of them. Some lace, cloudy gold, small foam stand that faded. Crisp and refeshing mouthfeel, creamy foam (yummy luplin foam). A nice hop showcase with malt to support, bready and a touch dry. I'll have another pint, please.

Pours gold with good clarity, impressive lacing remains on the pint glass. The aroma reminds me of a walk through a dense mountain forest of pine, spruce, and assorted evergreens dripping sap. Very stong and refreshing. The flavor features a malt base topped with bitter pine. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Would love to sample on cask...

Sampled on draft, Ginger Man, Dallas. Pours a hazy orange/brown in color with a creamy off-white head and thick sheets of lacing. Aroma is mild (for an IPA) citrus & floral hops. Wonderfully bitter flavor with grapefruit/floral hops dominating. There is a good malt backbone, perhaps a bit bready, and devoid of the typical overload of crystal malts typically found in lesser examples of the style. Hops are the focus of this beer, but they aren't out of hand. Finished clean. Good enough you'll want to grab another pint.

This was a good brew seeing as ipa's are not my bag...New shoe like smell, but not in a bad way...hoppy...perfect bitters, no hint of alchol, orange sunset color, uplifting almost flower smell at the end.
