Liefmans Goudenband Barrel Aged took the time to rest for 40 weeks in California wooden wine barrels, with an extraordinary result. The first touches are lightly toasted wood, vanilla, almond and ripe banana. We then note a beautiful acidity and complex flavors and yet very balanced. The Pinot Noir that was previously in the barrels brings a touch of currants. The Liefmans Goudenband Barrel Aged is thus a unique experience for the senses.

Jan. 2020: Shared 750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Very dark brown colour. beige head. Aroma of red wine, brettanomyces and oak, hints of red wine vinegar. The flavour is not too sweet, nor too sour, but has distinct notes of red wine, brett and oak. Well rounded and balanced, enjoyable.
