Pours a little like red wine with no head to think of. Carbonation is present. Aroma is very, very sour with hints of berry fruit, wine and oak. Taste is very sour at the begining then subsides slightly with a ever so slight metallic ending. The taste is of a fine champagne or red wine spritzer. Very, Very good.

our batch was between 6.5-6.9%. multiple krieks blended, oaked, and raspberries added, so it's a framboise kriek = friek. huh? get it get it? anyway, this beer is freaking amazing. the cherry, oak, and raspberry are in perfect harmony...you can smell and taste each clearly but none are too overpowering. the aroma is vibrant fruit with a lively mouthfeel. near mouth puckering tasrtness and sweetness from the fruit expertly balanced. I will buy this whenever i see it.

Pours a light tan with a mahogany twist, good firm headring .. . aroma of raspberries, strawberry and light funk .. . a delicious brew that runs wild with complexity .. . you know the whole camel through the eye thing? well its not good for the camels so you can see why its bad to be rich ..

750ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy ruby amber with a small head that quickly goes to a thin collar and eventually disappears.
The aroma is sweet, tart, acidic, slightly sour cherries and raspberries with a little wood.
The flavor is sweet woody cranberries, raspberries and cherries with a little acidity and a little funk and a mouth puckering sour twang in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, a very nice sour - more sour than I remember from other bottles and on draft. Reminds me of a soured New Glarus fruit beer. This is better than I remember their earlier test versions. Odell has been playing with Brett, but this is the first sour that I know of...very impressive. -

Sampled at GABF on 9/17/2010. This sour ale pours a hazy reddish color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cranberry, cherry, fruity and tart with some wood. A medium bodied sour. The malts are fruity and sweet, tart and funk. Lots of cherry, cranberry and raspberry flavors. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart.
