This hard to pronounce name belongs to Chief Pontiac of the Outaouais Tribe (1720-1769). We have attributed it to this aboriginal beer made with fresh hops from Pontiac. It is there in fact that the CREDETAO (Centre for Research and Development of Agricultural Technology of the Outaouais) has chosen to cultivate home grown hops from Quebec that Brasseurs du Temps use in this fresh and distinguished beer. Its floral scent, with whiffs of wheat, apricot and chlorophyll, gently flirts with the soft aroma of honey. A subtle bitterness slowly develops on the palate and sticks to the malt flavor before detaching itself in a spirited finale.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. Poured a slight hazy golden-amber colour with a creamy-froth white head with a little lacing. Hoppy nose with grapefruit notes and floral hints. Mild grain, honey. Also hoppy in the taste with spiciness, citrus and grain. Refreshing mouthfeel. Seems more like a Pale Ale, but with some decent fruity malts and citrus hops.
