Moeder Overste (Mother Superior), a beer from Flemish origin with strong character, is certainly one of the best beers of Brasserie Lefebvre. You will find it in all good pubs and drink traders. It is served in a clean dry glass with a beautiful head of unctuous foam. Enjoy it but in moderation as Moeder Overste can be treacherous... Brewed at high fermentation, Moeder Overste is what we call a Triple Beer. According to your taste, drink it cool (5°C) or at a room temperature (10°C). Its alcoholic content is 8%.

One of my favorites, hard to poor without too much foam. Extra challenge. Darker yellow color, hazy when you poor the yeast. Very bitter with a bite. I like to drink this a bit colder than other beers. Good smell, taste stays. Perfect.

I had Moeder Overste on tap not in it's orignal glass. Aroma has a lot of raisins and grapes. Also some yeast is present. Colour is golden amber with a decent off white head. Flavour has a lot of raisins with some malts and a little bit of coffee. I'd really appreciate this beer.

Hazy gold/orange colour. Nice white head which lasts longer than most. Sweet fruits/roffee and spice. Hop taste lingers nicely. Can be hard to find but worth tracking down

Hazy orange colour, big creamy longlasting head, lacing. Caramel and wheat in aroma. Alcohol, wheat, caramel, hops in flavour. Sweet caramellish aftertaste. A bit sticky palate.

cloudy honey colour under a very nice persistant foam and a beautiful lacing; spicy and lemony aroma, slightly astringent, nice acidity and full bodied

Bottle, at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen. Brown colour, large foamy head. Pretty standard tripel aroma. Nice moderately malty flavour with mild spices. ABV is well hidden, finish is a bit bland.

Bottle. Hazy golden with huge white head. Sweet, fruity, spicey and a touch medicinal aroma. Flavour is toffee, malty, fruity with a medium sticky mouthfeel, and a spicey, lightly bitter finish. Not bad.

I was looking for this beer very intensive. And finally I found it!!! Today in Antwerpen. Nicely drinkable beer. Smell is skunky a little, but other features are pleasant: average thick soft white head, sweetish-fruity and yeasty bitter flavor with pleasant aftertaste. One of the ingredients is candi sugar, that's the source of sweetness. Not prima Belgian beer, but really good and worth to try. Very expensive though, but I bought it in a little shop in massive tourism place so that's the reason. Tasty and attractive beer!
