Pours a clear dark drown with ruby tones when held to the light - 1 inch tan cap dissipates soon but laces moderately. Aroma is light when chilled but as it warms you get light roastyness and some sweet malts, very understated aroma for a stout. Flavour is mild but rounded with good mouth feel and a medium body - Malt forward front side roasty lightly sweet - finishes with a bit more bittering - pleasant but has a London porter character - not what I look for in a stout.

The beer pours a solid coca-cola colour with a generous long lasting dark tan coloured head that laces well. The aroma is coffee, chocolate, and floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is bitter chocolate, coffee, and hints of vanilla.

Pours a fair amount of foamy "milkshake" looking head. Nice thick dirty lacing. Has an extremely dark brown appearance. Has bready and malty aromas. Milk, hints of smokiness and a bit of toffee. Flavours are on the dark side, as in dark chocolate, nuts, coffee and toasty and smoked flavours. Has a bit of a burnt roasted flavour. Some spices come out, hints of peppery type spices. Mouthfeel is mainly astringent and chalky, giving off a warming sensation. Average carbonation. Has a pretty good balance of sweetness and bitterness. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Goes down fairly easy!

Pours a dark brown colour with red highlights, decent retention and a ring of lace. The nose is mild with coffee, molasse and hints of candy. Flavours of roasted malt with notes of coffee and a nice bitter finish. A more-than-average watery stout, that is good tasting and not too heavy.

Another good beer from that brewhouse in Shawinigan; city of Jean Chrétien ex- Prime Minister of Canada.First of all that beer is far better than the record of that ex prime minister...Black opaque, medium head and nice lacing.Aroma of chocolate coffee and hops.Mouthfeel is full bodied and carbonation is lively for an irish stout, quite o.k for me.Full flavor of coffe along with a dry bitterness;this is by no means a great beer.
