Dark cherry colored pour with no head or lacing. Mild diacetyl aroma. The flavor...well, it was just way too buttery and diacetyl. Some brown sugar and caramel malts. I don't know if the recipe changed in the past two years, but I'm not getting the spicing in the other reviews, some mild cinnamon, but that's it. I just wasn't a fan. Hard to finish.

Poured a dark brown with a small head which didn't last long at all. Aroma was of spices and malts and alcohol. Flavor was roasted malts cinnamon and a little chocholate.

A pretty good example of the style. Poured a ruby brown color with an ok initial head that disappeared into nothingness and no lacing. The aroma was malty and spicey. The flavor was malty, some light roasted chocolate tones, buttery, and of cinnamon. The mouthfeel was a little acidic and finished dry. I was impressed by this beer. (The alcohol hides in this one. Had no idea until 45mins after drinking, when reading the abv.)

I had Lancaster Winter Warmer on tap at the Grey Lodge. It poured a nice mahogany colored body with a small head. The aroma was malty. The taste was sweet malts, cinnamon, nutmeg and some chocolate. An excellent winter brew.

On tap at Split Rock. Dark red in color with a medium head. Spicey nose. CInnamon, clove. Sweet tasting. Complex. Really good. Full bodied.

This is the best beer that Lancaster makes. It is high in alcohol(winter warmer) and a little sweet on the palate. Try it when available in the winter season.

Poured a mahogany color with an off white small head. Spicy aroma of clove and malt. Malt, spice, chocolate and cinnamon with a round mouthfeel. Did not warm me up enough on this sub zero Philadelphia day.
