Bottle: Poured a pale yellowlager with a goiod size foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of loads of adjunct. Taste is also dominated by adjunct with some gross sweetness and some alcohol ester. This is worse then I had anticipated – beer to get drunk cheaply to I guess.

Last of the Lakeport reviews. This one pours a golden colour without the copper hue of the Lakeport Ice (that I just finished). White head that is bigger and leaves much more lace, all around the glass and quite thick. Same heavy carbonation. At first, the nose is grainy with slight sourness, but then, the alcohol comes out to haunt. Smooth watery mouthfeel. At least the alcohol is not present in the taste, and there are no burns. Mild corn taste with a little sweet finish that turns into a very light grainy aftertaste. Prefered the Ice over this one. The True North Strong is a better strong beer. Overall, I'll take Lakeport products over Laker, for swill with just a tad of character.

A nice deep gold, must be the only good thing to say about that beer...Sweet malt but a way too sweet, givin a somewhat bad aftertaste...This is a beer without distinction very "désinvolte"we would say in french...

this beer, and it's ice version cousin, are beers that are for nothing more than getting a buzz on. the stronger alcohol just gives it a more prevalant water taste. for the price, you are better off going for black ice and labatt extra dry.
