Bottle/Can. Colour - clear light amber colour, decent sized white head with good lacing. Aroma - wet grass, musty hops, slight notes of honey. Mouthfeel - very thin body, average carbonation. Flavour - old stale grains with a hint of sweetness. Not worth multiple tries.

Beer #4 from Canadian tasting night. Came in a can. This is the beer that makes people generalize and say all canned beers vare bad. A huge head accompanies the pour. Lots of phenolic notes in this one.

This beer can be summed up in one word 'Yuck' but there is a rule here that says I need to use 150 characters. The beer is a clear gold colour with a white head. The aroma is grainy malt with a smidgen of honey. The flavour is vomity goodness.

This beer pours a beautiful translucent light reddish gold colour with a huge fluffy white head. The aroma is very weak with no discernable notes of anything. The mouthfeel is watery and highly carbonated. The flavour is also very weak. No discernable taste of malt, hops, honey...or even grain. If it wasn't for the frothy head and the words 'beer' and 'biere' on the can, I would have thought with was coloured water. I'm convinced the $1.75 I paid is $1.74 too much.

Good cheap beer. Not GREAT, but not terrible. Sure beats most other beers made in North America. When compared to beers of its price such as molson and even labatt. Lakeport Honey proves to be better. However it cannot be compared to one of the more fine brews. Cheap beer that will get you drunk. The honey taste is mild up until the fourth beer or so. Worth a try. Definitely make the switch if your drinking molson

Bottle: Poured a very light amber color beer with a small bubbly white head with minimal retention. Aroma of adjunct is dominant with some sweet notes. Taste is quite bland with some sweetness and limited adjunct appearance. Bland and boring cheap swill are the best descriptive I can find here.

You really can't go wrong with Lakeport Honey Lager. A year ago when I first tried it, I wasn't even a beer fan, but when I took the first sip, I found it very easy to drink because of its smooth flavour. Being one of the cheapest beers on the market, its definitely worth every penny. The only downside to this beer is the distinct honey flavour, which is great for the first few beers, but once you pass that 5th or 6th, it becomes evident that the honey flavour becomes overpowering. Overall, its a great price for the value that you receive. Recommended for teenagers.

This is, in my opinion, one of the BEST cheapie honey beers out there, Miller, labatt, and Beehive just don't compare...this is just a great all round beer, good for chugging, good for sipping, and good for funelling. Now yu might say I'm a bit biased, seeing as it's brewed in my hometown, but let's just ignore that fact.

Actually, the best thing Lakeport makes, which ain't sayin' much. Had one very recently and I was struck by how much it tasted exactly like PBR Honey. When I say average, I mean for the honey lager/honey brown style.
