Wheat Monkey Ale captures the fresh, unfiltered spontaneity of our brewers' creativity. Crisp and refreshing year-round, this American Wheat Ale pours a lazy, hazy golden color. Its large, white, foamy head can be attributed to the generous amount of malted white wheat added to the mash. The aroma is enhanced by our fruity house ale yeast and its fresh baked bread flavors are perfectly balanced with a Cascade hop addition. This easy drinking wheat beer pairs well with a wide range of foods, such as green salads, feta and gouda cheeses, steamed or baked seafood, and grilled chicken. Ideal Serving Temp: 40° F.

A cloudy golden colored beer with a medium sized foamy white head that rises fairly briefly. settles into a thick ringlet. Very light nose of citrus. The wheat is in the taste as is like pome type fruit. Light, crisp effervecent beer.

It pours a bright crispy golden with a thin white head and a ring of surrounding lacing. A fruity aroma of wheat malts, apples, oranges and citrus, lemon, honey, butter, grapes, light bitterness and mild spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and fairly rich. Flavors of wheat malts, sour apples, lemon and citrus, honey, butter, tart grapes, light bitterness and mild spiciness. Sort of thin and weak for a wheat, but not too bad.

poured a cloudy yellow with a white head. The aroma was yeasty and a strange mix of spices that overpowered. The mouth feel was weak as was the flavor. This one would be hard to pair with food as it would be easily overpowered. This is not one that I would try again.

Gotta admit, I'm a sucker for a beer with "monkey" in the name - this one a gift from my wife as well; she actually brought me several Lakefront products among numerous others... but enough - pours hazy yellow with a bready banana nose. The citrus flavors really hit a home run on this 92-degree May afternoon.

A wheat from phishpond via OktoberPfist 2010. Pours a light yellow honey color with little head and some lacing. Wet wheat aromas with some lemon, citrus and malts. Taste is refreshing wheat and malty with a slight lemon zest. Nice and easy. Thank you Travis - and it has a Monkey name.

Not a bad brew inthe least bit. Very refreshing, tropical and citrusy all the same. Bright golden, hazey and lots of fruit. Slightly yeasty. Hard to believe it's an american wheat. Found it to be more belgianesque. Anyway, not too bad and something I would definately enjoy more of.

Pours an opaque yellow (Fresca color) with a bright white head. Faint bread aroma. Mouthfeel is watery. Flavor is watered down citrus blah. Might be better on a hot day.
