Stout lovers rejoice, because Sir Duluth is the rarest of breeds: a true four-season stout. It delivers all of the coffee and chocolate complexity you'd expect from the style without the creamy ballast of its Irish cousins. Still black and velvety smooth, the brew finishes on a toasty note that nearly cleanses the palate like an English biscuit – making it as fit for a sunny lakeside patio as it is for a ski lodge hearthside. Named for the French explorer (and Duluth namesake) Daniel Greysolon Sier du Lhut, it won a Gold Medal at the 2002 World Beer Championships.

Poured into a pint glass. Had a light brown head and the head stayed pretty much to the end. It was my first and still my favorite oatmeal stout. Has a sweet and creamy taste without the heavy weight of most other stouts so if you want another, it definitely won't spoil your appetite. There was a hint of coffee but not enough to turn me away who doesn't like coffee. A very well done oatmeal stout.

Pours a dark brown/black with no head at all. Has a little light showing at the bottom of the glass revealing the nice levels of carbonation coming from the bottom. Aroma is very chocolaty with hints of coffee and roasted malts. Taste has the nice hit of oats in the texture. Also hints of roasted malts, chocolate and a smidgen of alcohol at the end. Finishes off dry and fizzy to the tongue. Water used in this beer is very crisp and clean. A tad watered down but overall a pleasant beer of higher quality.

A very average stout. Looks good and dark, almost no head when poured very loud. Aroma is faint, some coffee and roast malts. Flavor is also faint with just a hint of roast malts and some burnt flavors. Very smooth with an incredibly light body. A stout to drink when you don't want a very stout stout.

Black/very dark amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is slightly coffeeish with some hoppy and oaty notes. Flavour is nutty, caramelly, slightly roasted and has some hops in the finish.

Poured a dark brown color with a small, frothy, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of lactose, roasted malts, rather sweet. Taste of sweet malts, roasty, light chocolate, and a creamy but thin mouthfeel.

Everything you could want in a Oatmeal Stout. Very smooth going down and not filling. Has a great coffee taste to it but is not too burnt, just right.
