On tap at the Lagerhaus brewpub pouring hazy ruby red with copper and gold hues and full frumpy white pinkish head. The modest aroma is malty sugary sweet with fresh cherry meat and a touch of tart cherry skin as well as faint muted wheat. The taste starts with mild cherry skin tartness along with fresh ripe cherry fruitiness building to midway. Toward the finish a touch of lemon sourness and other base beer notes like wheat and grains come to the surface with the wheat seemingly coating the inside of my mouth. Well balanced beer where most prefer to run you over with cherry extract syrup this beer allows the consumer to enjoy the base beer as well.
