750 ml capped bottle. Poured an unfiltered opaque dark coloured " Noire " with a two fingers beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, coffee beans, spicy, licorice, a touch of smoke. The flavour is roasted malts, flowery, violet, ashes, spicy, heavy licorice, gingerbread, a point of pepper. The mouthfeel is creamy, fizzy and very smooth. This medium bodied ale has a dry spicy finish. Another very nice tasting brew from Bernie.
