Didn't care to much for this found it to be a little to bitter for my taste. It did have a nice dark brown color with a nice tan head. The aroma was not very strong and I found the mouthfeel to be a little thin.

Wow...I'm surprised to be the first on reviewing this one. I figured there would be others that have got their 2 cents in before me. Since I'm the first to get in here though, let me introduce you to Sweet Georgia Brown. I had this for the first time at Humpys in Anchorage, AK. I was on a mission to try all that is Alaskan while in the state. This was the first one that caught my eye.
As expected, this beer had a medium brown look to it. The head wasn't very impressive and was kinda thin. The aroma was not really as malty or sweet as I had thought it would be, but it did have it's hints to it. With a name like Sweet Georgia Brown, I was almost thinking it should have an aroma similar to the Rogue Hazelnut Brown with its sweet and super yummy aroma. It was OK, just not reflective of the name.
The flavor kinda fell into place with the aroma in that you could taste the maltyness of the beer, but the sweet factor that I was expecting, just wasn't there. It was good and very drinkable though. It just wasn't the best in the way of brown ales that I've had over the years. If you are in Alaska, support the local brews and try this one out. Who knows, you might like it. It's just there are better ones out there.
