Sampled on 2/28/2012. This fruit beer pours a light orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, pineapple and spicy. A medium to light bodied fruit beer. The malts are cereal, wheaty and sweet. With a very semi-sweet, semi-tart pineapple flavor. The hops are herbal and spicy. Decent carbonation. Interesting beer. The pineapple flavors bring a tartness and sweetness to the wheat beer. The pineapple flavor is much more evident in the finish. Gives the beer a nice dry, slightly tart finish. Its more saison or wheat like than wheat like. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

eh. a bit of an older sample, but it's on the shelf in the store (though a summer/fall offering). i like the idea of pineapple in a hefe, but Maui did it better for less. nice enough, but nothin stands out.
