Here's your German lesson for today - Hefeweizen translates to mean "wheat and yeast," and our ale takes that to heart. Combining a high percentage of malted wheat and a proprietary yeast strain, we have produced an American version of the classic German specialty. A high level of effervescence and a low level of bitterness make this ale truly refreshing.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7
Aroma is fairly strong, wheaty and yeasty with a hint of fruit. It pours a nice, slightly hazy dark amber with a fairly thick and persistent head. Flavor is typical of a decent hefeweizen, and has more than a hint of hop bitterness. Texture is fairly fizzy and tingly. Not too shabby!
