(330 ml bottle, brewed by Shepherd Neame, England). I have probably used this beer to wash down some Indian food in England, had to buy it again in Norway to rate it without food (by special order, it's normally sold only in our Indian restarants). Besides being wet and thus fit to help you survive a hot curry, this beer has nothing "Indian" or any other quality that should put it on a beer geek's wish list. Light golden colour, low head, Heineken-like aroma, uninteresting flavour but at least a hint of bitterness. Typical mediocre lager, not good, but not as bad as I expected.

This is what Indians consider premium beer. It's not. It sits in my glass as a very pale yellow color. Head is white, bubbly, and gone in a flash. There is no lacing. None. Water is fuller bodied than this stuff. Flavor? Grainy with a hint of hops.

Poured from a bottle, this had an average head with a light taste and pale golden color. Its appearance was nothing short of unspectacular and an underwhelming taste .Its mouth feel was lackluster

At restaurant in Delhi. Clear bright yellow color with white foam head. Bit caarbonated. Good normal pilsener taste and with the temperatures outside a good drink. Hope they used clean water. (New Dehli 201202)

Pours a clear golden color with a small thick, fluffy white head and has almost no lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet with a corn that's most dominant also some grains and bread. The taste is pale malts, slightly sweet, and corn. The mouthfeel is light bodied with mild carbonation, light and crisp. Overall this is a pretty good beer.

Aroma is crisp and malty, typical but not off-putting. It pours a typical clear straw yellow with a fairly thick white head. Flavor is about average for a lager, crisp and malty but not complex. Texture has average body and a fair amount of fizz. Not great, but give it a try.

watery, but it gets the job done of quenching thirst (with spicy food) without being entirely offensive. good - detectable hops, wheat(?). bad - watery and one dimensional.

Kingfisher - now that's a bird is it not? - a beer for the birds? -- now really it is rather pleasant, goes well with spicy foods, most likely a winner in India but then again it's not all that different from others in the lager class.

Nice golden color. Nice white top, but it dissapears rather quickly. Aroma is waterish, but with hints of citrus and hops. Taste is quite IPA'ish and probably would suite quite good with some Indian food. Aftertaste is refreshingly fruity and good.

Served up in an Indian restaurant that we dined in Friday evening. Pretty standard pale lager. Cereal grains and light yeast on aroma. Light cereal, slightly sweet with an initial bite from over-carbonation present. Appearance is golden in color with a minimal 1/2" white head. Went well with the curried lamb.

A thousand blessings will befall you after trying this fresh wheat beer from India, sir. Pours flat and a little cloudy, but this stuff tastes great. Wheat and floral notes permate this thick lager. There is a clean and bubbly finish. Perfect with spicy food. Thank you. Come again.
