"A deep red, full bodied ale with a delicate fruity aroma together with a strong malt and bitter taste with sweet undertones." First brewed for the "Festival of Britain" in 1951, King and Barnes Festive is a typical pale ale with a smooth malt flavour derived from the crystal malt, which is balanced by double-hopping with Kent Goldings and Challenger hops.

Dark brown body. Not a whole lot of head. Loads of malt, brown sugar and caramel. It tasted a little old, but aged incredibly well for such a small beer.
