One of Kern River's special offerings. They had the XPA and this on tap, and we grabbed a growler of this. So worth it. I love the sharp contrasting flavor that rye creates when stacked up against a hoppy beer. This beer did not fail to deliver on everything that I was expecting. solid, jewel-like red color, light layer of foam, and medium-bodied. The Kern River brewers are often expanding their line-up with little gems like this; unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to find out about them without going to the brewery. The rye flavor is so strong; I was rather upset when the growler emptied out.
