https://blog.kentuckyale.com/2015/04/13/kentucky-race-day-session-ipa-is-out-of-the-gate/ Kentucky Race Day Session IPA is available on draft only now across Kentucky, and features a lower alcohol level than many IPAs. In time for sunny days at the track, golf course or by the grill, Kentucky Race Day Session IPA is now on draft in Kentucky. Our new India pale ale is packed with flavor but not alcohol, coming in at 4.5 percent ABV. Somewhat rare even just a couple ears ago, session IPAs have become significantly more popular. Many come in at around 4.5 percent alcohol, significantly lower than the standard IPA of 6 to 8 percent alcohol. KY Race Day Session IPA on tap in Lexington. 15 Years of craft brewing in Lexington this year – wow, how time flies! Light-bodied and refreshing, Kentucky Race Day Session IPA is aromatic and citrusy. Dry hopped with Hallertau Mandarina and Hallertau Blanc hops, as well as Cascade hops,, the IPA is fruity, spicy and citrusy. We also produce Kentucky IPA year-round, which debuted in 2013, and comes in at a higher 6.5 percent ABV. It is brewed with Cascade and Columbus hops and dry hopped with Centennial and Simcoe hops.

Pours clear amber with a fairly thick, though effervescent, eggshell head. Aroma offers promising, if not overly tempting, fruity and malty notes. Flavor delivers typical malt and note character, not impressive. Texture has average body and not much fizz. No winner, but pleasing. Enjoy one whilst watching a horse race.

A bright golden-amber colored beer with a bog frothy textured, off white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. Thick film and more moderate ringlet are left. A floral biscuit nose. A light bittering lead in to more floral notes and bready malt. Light, clean, crisp and very drinkable.
