Taps translucent sepia with a decent light tan head. Malty aroma has a definite overtone of bourbon-infused wood. Flavor echoes the malty, bourbon and woody tones of the aroma while tossing a little caramel and a pinch of hops into the mix. Firm body delivers good fizz. Honey of a barrel-aged ale.

Pours out a dark brown color with a red hue. The aroma if faint but what I can smell is rich and dense. The mouthfeel is very rich and thick. The taste is very mild but very well balanced. Reminds me of a lighter version of Founders Backwoods Bastard.

A dark mahogany amber colored beer. A three fingered light tan sudsy textured head rises above. A thin ringlet is left. Bourbon is dominate in the profile with. Moderate bodied.
