Man, what an utter dissapointment this beer was. I kinda reminded of something that the brewer looked at what he had on hand in terms of ingredients and just threw it together. An utter mess of a beer, and one I'd highly recommend that they never brew again.

The beer came to me in a pint glass and it had a really nice dark brown, nearly black, color with a decent one-finger tan creamy head. That's where the goodness ended. The aroma was wet, moldy paper with some kind of smoke extract hiding around. It actually got worse the more it warmed up. The mouthfeel was so thin it was just awful. The flavor had some smoky bitterness to it and there was absolutely no trace of sweetness at all. It reminded me of a beer that was strained thru the bottom of a BBQ, just bitter ash character with some smokiness. It definitely did not go well with my Rueben sandwich, which also sucked quite badly.
